The Walking Dead: Interesting Facts You Probably Didn't Know (One Of My Favorite Shows!)

Because I love this site and love what they do and are doing with spreading the word around of amazing artist is so many forms I am glad to have the opportunity to be able to re-post there daily post that I get from them straight in to my gmail.  Lucky me and lucky you since now I am posting them here.

No this is not some lame way for me in skating by and taking it easy in creating new post just for my blog here................ or is it.........  OK, maybe a little but really, for at least a couple of weeks now I have been wanting to figure out how to save all the wonderful emails I do get from them on a daily basis and only wish I had been doing it sooner but glad I am doing it now.

So I will probably be posting these past paragraphs for a little bit until I feel it is necessary not to do so and a link to StudioVox's site as you see below.

Beware of spoiler alerts! 
1. HBO passed on The Walking Dead because they thought it was too violent.
2. Norman Reedus who plays Daryl, originally auditioned for the part of Merle.
3. When Dale died, his “guts” were made out of chicken breasts.
4. The zombie noises are added later, during post-production.
5. When the walkers are eating “human flesh” it is actually hams soaked in vinegar.
6. Daryl and Merle don't appear in the comic at all.
7. The bag of drugs Daryl finds has blue meth in it, a nod to Breaking Bad.
8. In the first four seasons of the show, the characters did not say the word “zombie” once.
9. The one-eyed dog is an actual hero. He lost his eye by saving his real owner from a carjacker.
10. Walkers are instructed to try not to blink during filming. Otherwise, editors must comb through the footage during post-production to edit out any unintentional blinking.
11. When Merle was shooting from on top of a roof, an actual SWAT team was called in because people thought he was a sniper.
12. The Walking Dead, "walkers" outnumber the living by a staggering count of 5000 to 1.
13. Rick keeps the bullet inside his pants pocket that killed his wife, Lori.
