Breaking Bad: Interesting Facts You Probably Didn't Know

Because I love this site and love what they do and are doing with spreading the word around of amazing artist is so many forms I am glad to have the opportunity to be able to re-post there daily post that I get from them straight in to my gmail.  Lucky me and lucky you since now I am posting them here.

No this is not some lame way for me in skating by and taking it easy in creating new post just for my blog here................ or is it.........  OK, maybe a little but really, for at least a couple of weeks now I have been wanting to figure out how to save all the wonderful emails I do get from them on a daily basis and only wish I had been doing it sooner but glad I am doing it now.

So I will probably be posting these past paragraphs for a little bit until I feel it is necessary not to do so and a link to StudioVox's site as you see below.

  • On the final day of shooting in Season five, Bryan Cranston got a Breaking Bad tattoo of the show's logo on his finger. 
  • Aaron Paul has never taken a professional acting class.  
  • John Cusack and Matthew Broderick were both offered the role of Walter White.
  • Blue-tinted versions of crystal meth started appearing in circulation similar in appearance to that produced by Walter White.
  • If it weren't for writers’ strike of 2007-08 Jesse would have been killed of in the first season. Show creator Vince Gilligan and other writers were planning to kill off Jesse in Episode 9, but thanks to the strike this episode never happened.
  • Walt Jr. is the only major character that Jesse never comes into contact with.
     
  • The famous scene when Walt threw the pizza on the roof only took Cranson one take! 
  • Bryan Cranston learned the exact process for cooking meth from DEA chemists to help prepare him for some of his scenes.
  • A fan of the series, George R.R. Martin thought Walter White a bigger monster than anyone in Game of Thrones and vowed to “do something about that” in his next book. 
  • The makeup and visual effects team from The Walking Dead were drafted in to help with the scene in Season 4 episode “Face Off”, during which half of Gus’ face is blown off.
  • When filming the episode during which Walt kills Mike, the entire crew wore black armbands to mark Jonathan Banks’ final episode.
  • RJ Mitte (aka Walt Jr.) does have cerebral palsy in real life, but not to the extent of his character. He had to learn how to walk with crutches for the show.
  • The coordinates of the spot that Walt buries the money are actually those of Q Studios in Albuquerque, N.M., where the show was filmed.
  • Showtime, TNT, Fox and HBO all turned down the script for Breaking Bad.
  • Walt's affinity for tighty-whities was all Bryan Cranston's idea. He wanted Walt's choice in underwear to be "the most pathetic thing."
