The StudioVox Crew
Illustrators' hearts are full of adventure, delighting and surprising us with their joyous creativity. Their visual stories setting the tone for discovering new people, places, creatures and things; A portal to the imagination.
Illustration can be created with any medium, in any style. Its artistic possibilities are truly endless and most projects don’t fall neatly into a category. That’s the beauty of illustration - It’s limitless in its imagined possibilities.
Whether it’s character design, book covers, children’s stories, comic books, or animation – illustration captures the imagination and carries its viewer to magical, unknown places.
Fusing creation with curiosity, illustrators explore everything from far-away lands to fairies, goblins to glamour girls, and every enchanting possibility in-between. With great passion they make visible some of the most wonderful things in life … real and imagined.
The artists we’re celebrating today understand the magic of illustration. Each putting their own unique spin and style on imagination.

After retiring from professional sports, artist Simone Wolowiec was in search of a new passion that didn’t impose the physical demands that her sport once had.  Always fascinated with art, Simone hadn’t picked up a paintbrush since she was a kid; art classes commenced and there was no turning back, she fell in love with the canvas.

Now a full time artist and illustrator, Simone has created a series of illustrations for children's books with a 3rd and 4th book to be published later in 2016.  She has completed a number of original paintings in her preferred medium, oil on canvas, including several commissions for local art-lovers in Southern California.  Her works hang in Encinitas, California and Melbourne, Australia where Simone was born and lived until 2008.

Simone’s artistic philosophy is that her art should “simply make you smile”.  Her inspiration is drawn from creativity all around her including art, design and the beauty of nature.  This is often executed with a degree of whimsy, using fantasy settings and characters to create playful and humorous images.

 Illustrator - Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
As an Illustrator and Graphic Designer based in Germany, artist Denise Milenova is constantly traveling, interacting, and appreciating the world around her.
"Usually I sketch for a few days at a time, just putting down ideas on paper. I keep all of my sketches. I have found them to be very useful, even if at the moment of drawing I couldn't see any application," she says.  "I have found that such spurs of creativity are created and not by chance. They happen after I have been feeding my brain with a lot of information, usually various in content."
Never interested exclusively in only one field she has always worked on different passions and see the positive impact of that on her work. "I think creativity is a process of breaking down everything we know in every field to small pieces and then combining them in unexpected ways. Any collaboration/project gives me additional pieces of information, waiting to be rearranged and used into something new and exciting.
For the magic to happen I believe it's important for all the parties involved to be authentic - meaning for them to be engaged in a project, only if it represents them truly and is coherent with their values and identity at the moment of creation. There is no creativity without learning, and no learning without changing, but it all begins with who we are right now.
