Because I love this site and love what they do and are doing with spreading the word around of amazing artist in so many forms I am glad to have the opportunity to be able to re-post there daily post that I get from them straight in to my gmail.  Lucky me and lucky you since now I am posting them here.

No this is not some lame way for me in skating by and taking it easy in creating new post just for my blog here................ or is it.........  OK, maybe a little but really, for at least a couple of weeks now I have been wanting to figure out how to save all the wonderful emails I do get from them on a daily basis and only wish I had been doing it sooner but glad I am doing it now.

So I will probably be posting these past paragraphs for a little bit until I feel it is necessary not to do so and a link to StudioVox's site as you see below.

Interesting Facts About Al Pacino
  • He dropped out of school at the age of 17.
  • He began smoking and drinking at age nine and took up casual marijuana use at age thirteen, but never used hard drugs. His two closest friends died from drug abuse at the ages of 19 and 30. 
  • Growing up in the Bronx, he got into occasional fights and was considered a troublemaker at school.
  • Al Pacino briefly worked as a stand-up comic early in his career.
  • He's been nominated for a total of seven Oscars before he finally won his first one for his role of Frank Slade in the film "Scent of a Woman."
  • He is an avid William Shakespeare and Opera fan.
  • Al Pacino was rejected repeatedly by studio heads while auditioning for the role of Michael in The Godfather (1972) but Francis Ford Coppola fought for him. This film was shot briskly because both the director and the leading actor were in constant fear of being fired. Ironically, it turned out to be a breakthrough for both.
  • During the filming of "Serpico" Al Pacino truly threw himself into his character so much that he actually pulled over a taxi driver and then threatened to arrest the driver for the excessive exhaust fumes coming from the vehicle.
  • He suffers from chronic insomnia.
  • Al Pacino has publicly stated that his all-time favorite actress is Julie Christie.
  • Before hitting it big, he was often homeless and worked as a janitor and busboy to pay for his acting studies.
